Video: Colorado's Shilo Sanders Told Nebraska 'We About to Roll Your Asses' Pregame
September 12, 2024
Colorado safety Shilo Sanders is being subjected to the "Old Takes Exposed" treatment for his statement to Nebraska players during the coin toss before the Sept. 7 game between the two teams.
A video released of the pregame coin toss shows Sanders saying "we about to roll your asses" to Cornhuskers players before Colorado was on the losing end of a 28-10 score.

It was certainly a bold comment for anyone on Colorado's team to make. The Buffaloes didn't exactly cover themselves in glory by holding on for a 31-26 win over FCS powerhouse North Dakota State in the season opener on Aug. 29.
North Dakota State racked up 449 yards of offense in that game.
Nebraska hasn't been lighting it up in recent years, but there was a sense of optimism around the team coming into this season. Quarterback Dylan Raiola is the first 5-star recruit who committed to the Cornhuskers since 247Sports' tracking began in 2010.
Raiola seemed to enjoy going up against Sanders and Colorado's secondary. The true freshman finished 23-of-30 for 185 yards and one touchdown. The Cornhuskers also ran for 149 yards and two touchdowns on 35 carries.
Nebraska jumped out to a 28-0 lead in the first half. Colorado got on the board in the third quarter thanks to Alejandro Mata's 27-yard field goal. The Buffaloes did find the end zone midway through the fourth quarter.
Colorado's 10 points were its second-fewest in a game under head coach Deion Sanders. Oregon beat Colorado 42-6 in the fourth game of the 2023 season.
Since starting last season with three straight wins, Colorado has lost nine of its last 11 games. Four of those losses have come by at least 10 points.
Colorado will look to get back on track Saturday when it takes on Colorado State at Canvas Stadium.
