Saquon Barkley and George Pickens headlined the list of players that saw their overall ratings increase during Thursday's Madden 25 ratings update from EA Sports.

Barkley improved from 92 to 93 overall following a phenomenal debut for the Philadelphia Eagles, rushing for 109 yards and racking up three touchdowns during a 34-29 win over the Green Bay Packers.

Pickens' overall rating was boosted from 83 to 85 after he helped the Pittsburgh Steelers secure an impressive 18-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons. He recorded six catches for 85 yards.

Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins also saw a ratings increase, moving from 78 to 79 overall after rushing for 135 yards on just 10 attempts in Week 1.

Barkley has the fourth-highest rating in the game among running backs following the latest update. He only trails Christian McCaffrey, Nick Chubb and Derrick Henry.

The 27-year-old signed a three-year, $37.75 million deal to join the Eagles in free agency after spending the first six seasons of his career with the New York Giants. Barkley also operated as a weapon in the pass game against Green Bay, catching two passes for 23 yards.

He helped lead an Eagles rushing attack that struggled when the ball wasn't in his hands. Jalen Hurts, one of the NFL's top dual-threat quarterbacks, was only able to muster 33 yards on 13 attempts in Week 1.

Even though the Steelers' offense wasn't able to score a touchdown in their season-opener, Pickens still stood out against a Falcons secondary that allowed the eighth-fewest passing yards in the league in 2023.

In addition to the 23-year-old's overall rating, his agility rating also increased from 90 to 92.

Dobbins made his first regular-season start since a torn Achilles ended his 2023 campaign in Week 1. The former second-round pick didn't show any signs of rust, helping the Chargers secure a 22-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

His return performance was highlighted by a 61-yard run in the fourth quarter to help put the game away.
