Photo: AEW's Kenny Omega Reacts to Samoa Joe in New 'Like a Dragon' Video Game

Former AEW world champion Samoa Joe was revealed as a character in the upcoming Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii video game as part of Friday's trailer release.

Although Joe's role in the game is unclear, his character model can be seen at the 6:30 mark of the trailer posted by Sega on YouTube:

Fellow AEW star Kenny Omega also posted a still shot of Joe's character on X and commented on his inclusion in the game:

Omega was previously part of the Like a Dragon series as well, being included in Like a Dragon: Ishin! last year as downloadable content:

The 45-year-old Joe is a legend in the pro wrestling world, having won major titles in AEW, WWE, TNA and ROH.

After a dominant run that saw him win the ROH world title, TV title and pure title, Joe moved on to TNA where he was a one-time world champion and six-time X-Division champion.

The Samoan Submission Machine finally made the move to WWE in 2015, and while he never held the WWE Championship, he was a three-time NXT champion and two-time United States champion.

Joe added another world title to his impressive résumé in AEW, winning it from MJF back in December on the heels of two TNT title runs.

In addition to his in-ring excellence, Joe has made quite a splash in other forms of entertainment recently, namely video games and entertainment.

Joe, who is an avid gamer, previously had roles in multiple other video games, including Dota 2, Dota Underlords, Game of Thrones and this year's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Also, Joe plays the key character Sweet Tooth in the Twisted Medal series, which began streaming on Peacock last year.

Fans of pro wrestling and Samoa Joe will get to see him in action in video game form on Feb. 28, 2025, when Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii releases for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
