49ers' Jauan Jennings Hyped by Deebo Samuel, NFL Fans During 3-TD Game vs. Rams
September 22, 2024
The San Francisco 49ers have a next man up mentality.
With Deebo Samuel out of the lineup, wide receiver Jauan Jennings was ready to pick up the slack.
The 27-year-old caught three touchdown passes and had 102 receiving yards by the third quarter of the team's game against the Los Angeles Rams and made sure Samuel's absence was not too noticeable.
Fans, as well as Samuel himself, took to social media to celebrate Jennings' breakout performance.

Jennings' three touchdowns were more than he had in 2022 and 2023 combined. He signed a two-year, $15.39 million extension in the offseason and is showing why he was worth keeping around.
He entered the game with seven catches for 101 yards and his output will significantly up those numbers. With Samuel expected to miss a few weeks due to the calf strain, the 49ers will hope Jennings can carry this performance over and further contribute to the offensive attack.
