Philadelphia Eagles defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson was reportedly fined for the second straight game.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported Thursday that the NFL fined Gardner-Johnson for throwing New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara down after he was out of bounds on the third play of Sunday's game. While he was fined, the defensive back was not penalized for the play during the game.

He was also fined for a taunting violation after Philadelphia's Week 2 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

The game between potential contenders in the NFC in New Orleans was an emotional one, as there was a combined three points in the first three quarters before the teams went back-and-forth and traded three touchdowns in the fourth.

Philadelphia came out on top 15-12 thanks to two Saquon Barkley scores, the first of which went for 65 yards and came on the play after Saints defensive lineman Khristian Boyd knocked Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith out of the game with a helmet-to-helmet hit.

The NFL fined Boyd $4,600 for the hit.

It was the Saints that drafted Gardner-Johnson with a fourth-round pick in 2019, and he played the first three seasons of his career on the NFC North team.

But that didn't stop him from calling out his former team.

"Man, that's the dirtiest s--- I ever saw in football, bro," Gardner-Johnson said of the hit, per ESPN's Tim McManus. "Y'all obviously saw forward progression was stopped. For them to take a cheap shot on one of our key players, it goes to show what type of team that is. They're front-runners."

He continued and said, "Y'all always talk about Ceedy this, Ceedy this, but let's talk about how they're playing dirty on their side. At the end of the day, the league will handle it. ... We got the dub and keep it pushing."

The league handled that, but it also fined the defensive back for his own play.
