Week 4 Fantasy Football Rankings: Flex and PPR Outlook for Each Position

Several top offensive stars have the opportunity to rank among the top fantasy performers in Week 4 of the NFL season, thanks to favorable match-ups, mounting momentum, and developing chemistry with their teammates.

One such match-up is the showdown between Arizona and Washington, which features young superstars-in-the-making in Jayden Daniels and Marvin Harrison Jr., who could be among the highest points-scorers this week.

Ahead of Sunday's action, find out who lands atop each positional ranking as must-starts and which players are sleeper candidates to earn managers big point totals in FLEX and PPR leagues and potential victories with this preview.

Sleeper: Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears vs. Los Angeles Rams

Fantasy managers who drafted Williams expecting him to be what Stroud was for Houston a season ago right out of the gate had their expectations tempered through the first two games of the season but the former USC Trojan gave them something to be excited about in his performance against Indianapolis.

The No. 1 overall pick in this year's NFL Draft completed 33-of-52 passes for 363 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions, and ranked 14th among quarterbacks in Week 3.

Sunday, he faces a Rams defense giving up the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks at 21.03.

The Los Angeles secondary has been especially bad, conceding 775 yards through three games and seven touchdowns to just one takeaway.

Williams, Rome Odunze, and DJ Moore will have opportunities for big plays that will spark that Bears offense and excite the fans in Chicago for the first time this season. For fantasy managers, a top-five finish is not out of the question if the former Heisman winner can stay poised and prevent the turnovers that have plagued his game so far.

The Eagles' star free-agent addition has lived up to expectations so far and should be a huge factor in the team's offense game plan against Tampa Bay.

Sleeper: Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans at Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have surrendered the second-most rushing touchdowns to opposing running backs thus far in 2024 at five. The team is also second-worst against backs in fantasy, allowing 24.8 per game.

The Tennessee Titans failed miserably to take advantage of a favorable match-up in Week 3 against Green Bay, limited Tony Pollard to just six touches for 14 yards.

Do not expect them to make that same mistake twice.

Against a beatable Dolphins team still reeling from the loss of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to a concussion, and without consistent play at that position, the Titans can ride the running game to a low-scoring victory.

A big day for Pollard, both on the ground and potentially out of the backfield, where he has caught 11 balls for 67 yards through three games, is possible and something fantasy managers should keep in mind when setting their lineups.

The best wide receiver in the game is the best start of Week 4 as Minnesota faces a Green Bay team missing its top cornerback in Jaire Alexander.

Sleeper: Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia defense impressed in Week 3, holding an explosive Saints offense to just 12 points. Still, the Eagles' defense has given up five touchdowns to opposing wide receivers, the third-worst in the league.

That does not bode well for them against a Tampa Bay offense with two talented wideouts in Mike Evans and Chris Goodwin, the latter of whom should be considered a must-start for fantasy managers in Week 4.

Goodwin has scored in all three games this season and tallied at least six receptions all while finishing among the top 20 wideouts in three consecutive weeks.

One of the more underrated receivers in the league, Goodwin could have a top-10 day against an Eagles defense surrendering 40.03 fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. If so, managers should consider keeping him in their starting lineups, even if it means benching a high-profile, yet underperforming star.

The Lions' second-year star could have a big day against a Seahawks defense susceptible to opposing tight ends.

Sleeper: Mike Gesicki, Cincinnati Bengals at Carolina Panthers

Gesicki was the fifth-best tight end in Week 2 against Kansas City, with seven catches for 91 yards.

Monday night against Washington, he caught four balls for 47 yards, good enough for 11th among tight ends.

In Week 4, against a Carolina Panthers team giving up the third-most points to opposing tight ends, Gesicki is a solid sleeper candidate for a Bengals team looking to crawl out of its 0-3 start.

Tee Higgins' second game back could result in him seeing fewer targets. Still, Gesicki has developed some on-field chemistry with Burrow and is a worthwhile start, especially for managers struggling to replace the injured Trey McBride, David Njoku, or Evan Engram.

Defenses matching up with struggling offenses are almost always a sure thing in fantasy and for the 2023 NFC champion 49ers battle a Patriots team still looking to establish an identity.
