Video: Call of Duty Drops New Trailer for The Replacer's Return for 'Black Ops 6'
September 29, 2024
Gamers saw a familiar sight when the latest Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 official trailer released on Sunday.
In a video posted to the game's YouTube channel, The Replacer was back in action.
The Replacer was first introduced in a marketing campaign ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 in 2013. He also returned for Black Ops 3 and Black Ops 4. However, The Replacer was absent from the buildup for Black Ops: Cold War in 2020.
He's back ahead of the release of Black Ops 6, serving his past role of replacing gamers throughout their daily lives so that they can have more time to play Call of Duty. The Replacer takes on the role of a firefighter, a driver for a ride-sharing company and much more in the Sunday's video.
The character is played by actor Peter Stormare, who's also known for his roles in Fargo and John Wick: Chapter 2. The Replacer was also introduced as a playable option in Black Ops 4 on Blackout mode in 2019.
While his status as a playable character in Black Ops 6 is unknown, he's back ahead of the drop of the highly anticipated game.
It will release worldwide on Oct. 25.
