Travis Kelce's teammates have his back.

The Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers donned t-shirts that honored the tight end during pregame warmups on Sunday. Tracy Wolfson of CBS Sports reported that wide receiver Rashee Rice got the t-shirts for the receivers in order to "honor their leader and a guy who has mentored all of them."

Update on the custom Kelce Tshirts- Rashee Rice got them for all the WRs to honor their leader and a guy who has mentored all of them especially Rice. -#chiefs pic.twitter.com/A7NSxtXLeC

This came prior to the team's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Kansas City will hope to improve to 4-0 on the season.

The hot start has come despite Kelce not being as dynamic as he has been during his career. The 34-year-old has made eight catches for 69 yards across the first three games and has been less of a factor in the offense.

This comes after he failed to reach 1,000 receiving yards in a season for the first time since 2015 in 2023. He still had 984 yards and was a major contributor to the Super Bowl victory but it appears he may be showing signs of slowing down.

Rice has really stepped up as the Chiefs No. 1 option, making 24 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns thus far in 2024. Rookie Xavier Worthy has added 81 yards and a touchdowns in the passing game while also adding 39 yards and a touchdown as a rusher, while JuJu Smith-Schuster has scored a touchdown.

Kelce will surely improve his play but his days as the face of the receiving game may be quickly coming to an end. Still, Rice and the receivers are appreciative of the role he has played and want him to know that he is supported.
