Jayden Daniels is turning heads at the start of his NFL career, and the Washington Commanders rookie caught the attention of one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in history.

Former Washington quarterback Doug Williams posted a photograph on his Instagram account of a jersey swap between Daniels and Michael Vick. Vick presented the rookie with an autographed red Falcons jersey:

"Man what a blessing… Mike Vick visited Park yesterday and it was great!!!," Williams wrote. "What's the chances of being able to jump in a photo with these guys/ what a blessing… it's just good to see where we have come, once you are afforded an OPPORTUNITY…. Say no more."

This comes not long after the premiere of the Evolution of the Black Quarterback on Prime Video.

"In celebration of how Black quarterbacks have changed the game of professional football, Michael Vick travels across America learning about the pioneers who fought for acceptance, the players who cemented their spot, and what the future of the game can hold," the show's description explains.

Williams was the first Black quarterback to start and win a Super Bowl when he led Washington to a victory over the Denver Broncos to end the 1987 campaign. He was named the MVP of the game and threw for 340 yards, four touchdowns and one interception.

As for Vick, he was a four-time Pro Bowler who was best known for his incredible running ability and electric playmaking in the open field. He also threw for more than 3,000 yards in back-to-back seasons in 2010 and 2011.

Daniels may have some of those Pro Bowl appearances in his future if the start of his career is any indication.

The No. 2 overall pick of the 2024 NFL draft has the Commanders at 3-1 behind an NFL-best 82.1 completion percentage. He has thrown for 897 yards, three touchdowns and one interception while adding 218 yards and four scores on the ground as a runner.

Washington is third in the NFL in points per game (30.3) and looks like one of the best offenses in the league in large part because of its rookie signal-caller.
