The Green Bay Packers will be without wide receiver Romeo Doubs in Week 5.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network first reported that the Packers had suspended Doubs for Week 5 after he missed multiple practices last week.

Packers general manager Brian Guntekunst confirmed this to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network and said that the team is looking to "move forward in a positive manner" with Doubs.

"Unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to suspend Romeo for this week's game," Gutekunst said, per Pelissero. "His decisions and actions during the week negatively impacted the team and required us to take this action. While we are certainly disappointed, we are confident that we will be able to move forward in a positive manner. Romeo is a valuable member of our team and we look forward to welcoming him back next week."

This comes after teams called the Packers to check on Doubs' trade availability, which the Packers displayed no interest in per Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports.

Teams called the Packers this week checking in on Romeo Doubs potential availability via trade and were told Green Bay has no interest at this time in moving him. The hope is this is all resolved Monday morning and everyone moves forward.

Doubs reportedly missed Thursday-and-Friday's practices due to "being frustrated with his role in the passing game, per Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated.

He has made 12 catches for 169 yards in four games in 2024. He is second on the team in receiving yards and is tied with tight end Tucker Kraft for the second-most catches at 12.

Green Bay is 2-2 and saw the return of starting quarterback Jordan Love in Week 4 after he missed two games with a knee injury. Love's presence will be a massive lift to the Packers' offense and seemingly would also signal more production from Doubs.

Doubs had 59 catches for 674 yards and eight touchdowns in 2023, which was Love's first season as the starter. He should have an opportunity to at least exceed his catch and yard totals in 2024, but his frustration with the role presents some concern about his future with the team.
