Dallas Mavericks star Luka Dončić apparently supplemented his NBA salary when he nailed a full-courter at the team's "Fan Jam" event Sunday.

Dončić said on social media he made a friendly $100,000 wager with teammate Dereck Lively II on whether he'd hit the shot:

The five-time All-Star is probably exaggerating slightly. He can afford to make six-figure bets considering makes a little more than $43 million for this season. Lively doesn't have that luxury since $100,000 would account for a somewhat sizable chunk of the $5 million he's due to earn in 2024-25.

Let this be a lesson if you ever find yourself in Lively's position, though. There are no sure things in gambling.

The odds of Dončić hitting that circus shot were pretty low, probably in the single digits. But we've seen enough from the 6'7" playmaker to know he can do just about anything on a basketball court.

Unfortunately for Lively, he let himself get hustled.
