Oregon wide receiver Traeshon Holden was ejected from Saturday night's matchup with No. 2 Ohio State for "spitting on an opponent," per Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger.

The incident appeared to occur during the second quarter in Eugene.

Holden recorded one 32-yard catch prior to the altercation, which involved Ohio State cornerback Davison Igbinosun.

The NBC broadcast appeared to show Holden throwing his helmet as he headed down the tunnel after the ejection.

Holden's ejection wasn't the only notable event occurring in the first half of this Big Ten matchup, which was also highlighted by a potential Oregon interception ruled a catch for Ohio State, and a tumultuous miss on an extra point attempt by the Ducks that almost turned into a score for the Buckeyes.

Holden is in his fifth college season and second with Oregon after beginning his college career in Alabama.

He transferred to Oregon prior to the 2023 season, during which he finished with 37 catches for 452 yards and six touchdowns as one of the Ducks' tertiary options behind Tez Johnson and Troy Franklin.

Franklin then departed to join the Denver Broncos in the NFL, giving Holden the opportunity for more targets and a breakout 2024 campaign.

Heading into Saturday, Holden had made 19 catches for 274 yards and three touchdowns through five games while serving as a secondary target for Dillon Gabriel behind Johnson.
