October 21, 2024
With some of the top recruits in the nation on the court, Utah Prep held off the Columbus Explorers 69-68 to earn a key Border League victory.
Utah Prep was led by A.J. Dybantsa, the current No. 1 recruit in the nation for the Class of 2025. The explorers were led by Cameron Boozer, the No. 2 recruit, as well as his twin brother Cayden.
The matchup between No. 1 and No. 2 lived up to the hype.
Dybantsa had 28 points in the victory while Boozer had 20 for the Explorers.
Fans took to social media to celebrate the close matchup and project that Boozer and Dybantsa showcased how intense a future collegiate matchup could be.

Boozer and Dybantsa were teammates on the U.S. FIBA U17 World Cup team that took home the gold medal in July. However, seeing the two contend against each other showed a competitive fire in each of them and how they helped lift their team's on both ends of the floor.
The Boozer brothers are committed to play at Duke, where their father, Carlos, played his collegiate career. Dybantsa is currently uncommitted but has 29 offers and has made visits to BYU, Alabama, North Carolina, Kansas, Kansas State, Auburn and USC.
If Dybantsa were to head to UNC, it would put him and the Boozers on opposite sides of the famed Duke-UNC rivalry. That would signal more emotional matchups between the young prospects and would add even more juice towards that rivalry.
