NEW YORK, NY - OCTOBER 28: Freddie Freeman #5 of the Los Angeles Dodgers celebrates in the dugout after hitting a two-run home run in the first inning during Game 3 of the 2024 World Series presented by Capital One between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium on Monday, October 28, 2024 in New York, New York. Freddie Freeman has done it again.

The Los Angeles Dodgers star hit another home run, his fourth in as many games in the World Series against the New York Yankees. The first-inning homer also marked sixth-straight World Series game with a homer, dating back to the 2021 World Series when he was with the Atlanta Braves. No player had ever hit home runs in six consecutive World Series games.

Freeman's home run gave Los Angeles an early 2-0 lead.

With his homer on Tuesday, Freeman became the sole player to hit home runs in six consecutive World Series games. On Monday, he tied the record held by George Springer, who did it with the Houston Astros.

Freeman's first home run of the series came in Game 1 when he hit a walk-off grand slam to give the Dodgers a 6-3 win in extra innings.

His home run in Game 2 gave Los Angeles a three-run lead and ultimately enough to walk away with another win. In Game 3 on Monday, Freeman homered in the first inning to kickstart the Dodgers offense on their way to a 4-2 victory.

Though a lot can still happen, Freeman seems to be well on his way to his second World Series title and first World Series MVP. He has six hits, four home runs and nine RBI, by far the Dodgers' most productive player in the series.

Freeman had a decent showing in the NLDS and NLCS, recording seven hits and one RBI across eight games, but has stepped up in a big way in the World Series and might be the reason the Dodgers complete a clean sweep of the Yankees.
