CeeDee Lamb Says He Plans to Play for Cowboys vs. Eagles Despite Shoulder Injury
November 3, 2024
Despite suffering a shoulder injury during the Dallas Cowboys' 27-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, CeeDee Lamb isn't preparing to miss time.
The star wide receiver said that he plans on suiting up during the Cowboys' upcoming Week 10 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Joseph Hoyt of DLLS.
In the fourth quarter of the defeat against Atlanta, Lamb briefly stayed on the ground and held his shoulder following an incomplete pass in the end zone. He was able to remain in the game for an ensuing two-point conversion before exiting the contest.
Lamb was targeted 12 times on Sunday, but he was only able to rack up 47 yards on eight catches. He also picked up 15 rush yards on two attempts.
The 25-year-old wasn't the only Cowboys star to suffer an injury during the game, as Dak Prescott left in the third quarter with a hamstring issue and didn't return. He finished 18-of-24 for 133 yards and a touchdown before he was replaced by Cooper Rush.
Although Dallas hasn't been able to meet expectations during a 3-5 start to the season that has been highlighted by injuries to key contributors such as Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence, Lamb has been one of the team's bright spots.
He's appeared in all eight games for the Cowboys and has made his presence felt on a weekly basis. Entering Sunday's action, Lamb's 613 receiving yards were the fourth-most among all players. He also recorded 45 catches and found the end zone four times in his first seven starts.

Lamb has shown why he held out for a new long-term deal during the offseason, eventually agreeing to a four-year contract extension worth $136 million on Aug. 26.
While Prescott's status is uncertain heading into a clash with a top rival in the NFC East, his top target is expecting to be on the field.
