Warriors' Stephen Curry Out with Knee Injury vs. Thunder; Expected to Return vs. Suns
November 27, 2024
Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry will miss Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a knee injury, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
Head coach Steve Kerr provided an update before the game, describing Curry as being "banged up."

Kerr projected the guard would be able to return for the team's next game on Saturday against the Phoenix Suns.
Curry missed three games with a left ankle sprain before returning for Golden State's game against the Washington Wizards on Nov. 4. He scored 24 points as the Warriors won 125-112.
Through 14 games this season, Curry is averaging 22.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.5 assists while shooting 44.4 percent from three-point range.
The 36-year-old is leading a new-look Warriors team this season following the departure of his longtime Splash Brother Klay Thompson, who is now with the Dallas Mavericks. Golden State still managed to get off to a hot start, ranking first in the Pacific Division with a 12-5 record entering Wednesday's game against Oklahoma City.
Veteran swingman Andrew Wiggins has stepped up as a secondary option in the Warriors offense, averaging 17.5 points this season. Sharpshooter Buddy Hield has also made an impact in his first year in Golden State with 15.5 points per game while shooting 43.0 percent from three-point range.
When Curry is healthy, the Warriors have a strong chance to compete for a playoff spot in the Western Conference. Golden State's new faces appear to fit nicely around the two-time NBA MVP, so the team will certainly be hoping he won't miss too much time.
In Curry's absence, Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski would be counted on to produce in Golden State's backcourt until he's able to return.
