November 8, 2024
Former world champion Mike Tyson gave Logan Paul a warning ahead of their Nov. 15 heavyweight bout.
"This was me at my most brutal," Tyson wrote on X, referencing his knockout victory over Michael Spinks in 1988. "Now, @jakepaul will see me at my most vicious."

The Paul-Tyson fight will be streamed on Netflix live from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas starting at 8 p.m. ET next Friday.
The 1988 fight vs. Spinks pitted two undefeated fighters together. Tyson, then 21 years old, knocked out 31-year-old Spinks in 91 seconds to defend his title.
Tyson is now at a very different stage in his career. The 58-year-old's last professional win came in 2003 with a KO of Clifford Etienne.
He last fought professionally in 2005, and his most recent bout was an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. that took place in 2020. The fight went eight rounds and ended in a draw.
Texas announced in April that Tyson's bout against Paul will be sanctioned and classified as professional, so that the result could impact both fighters' records, per ESPN's Andreas Hale.
Paul (10-1, 6 KOs) is a 27-years-old former YouTube who most recently defeated Mike Perry in a sixth-round TKO in July. His 31-year age gap with Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) will set a professional boxing record.
In the Netflix documentary Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson released as part of the lead-up to the fight, Tyson revealed the details of the ulcer flareup he suffered in May that led to the delay of the original fight date of July 20. He said the incident caused him to lose 26 pounds (h/t USA Today's Josh Peter.)
Tyson has shared multiple training videos showing himself preparing for the fight, in which he has repeatedly indicated he is ready to face Paul.
