November 10, 2024
Following the Georgia Bulldogs' 28-10 blowout loss to the Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday, head coach Kirby Smart is confident his team will be able to bounce back from the defeat.
"I think our kids will respond," Smart said in a post-game conference. "We're not riding this roller coaster of emotion. … it's a long journey."
The third-ranked Bulldogs fell to 7-2 following its loss to the 8-4 Rebels.
Heading into Saturday's matchup, Smart believed that the No. 16-ranked Ole Miss team was one to watch out for.
"I told our team this week they were the most talented team we've played," Smart said. "They outplayed and out-coached us tonight."
Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck completed 20 of 31 passes for 186 yards with no touchdowns. The senior struggled, throwing one interception and losing two fumbles,.
"Welcome to the SEC, baby. It's on to the next," Smart said.
The Bulldogs will play the No. 7-ranked Tennessee Volunteers at home next Saturday.
