    The Bloodline.

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of WWE SmackDown on November 15.

Last week, Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn and The Usos reunited as the original Bloodline and issued a challenge to Solo Sikoa's Bloodline for a WarGames match, but neither team has its fifth member yet.

This week's show saw both teams making plans for the PLE that is just over two weeks away, but we also got plenty of action to fill our Friday night.

The Motor City Machine Guns defended the tag titles against The Street Profits, and Nia Jax put the women's title on the line against Naomi.

Let's take a look at everything that happened on Friday's episode of SmackDown.

B-Fab vs. Bayley vs. Candice LeRae

1 of 5

SmackDown opened with Cody Rhodes coming out to kick off the show. We saw a replay of Kevin Owens giving Randy Orton a piledriver before The American Nightmare called KO out.

Instead, Nick Aldis came out and said KO was not in the building at his request. They went back and forth a bit about how to handle the situation for a few minutes before Rhodes said he wouldn't wait for an answer for long.

After a break, the first triple threat match in the women's U.S. title tournament took place with Bayley, B-Fab and Candice LeRae fighting for a spot in the semifinals.

LeRae sent Bayley out of the ring so she and B-Fab could trade some offense. As they fought into the break, it seemed like WWE booked this match to give B-Fab a lot of time in the ring. It was great to see her get some screen time on her own, but her inexperience was also put front and center.

Bayley was able to get the pin on B-Fab with a rollup to advance to the next round. Even though this bout had a couple of sloppy moments, it had good energy and some fun moments.

Result: Bayley defeated B-Fab and LeRae

    Grade: C+

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Aldis said the piledriver has been banned in WWE for years, but apparently, that doesn't apply to the Tombstone variation.
    • This was one of the first times we've heard B-Fab's music since she aligned with the Profits.
    • B-Fab doesn't have a lot of experience but Bayley and LeRae are so good that they masked some of her shortcomings.
    • The way LeRae countered the Tower of Doom into a pin was cool.

LA Knight vs. Berto

2 of 5

After Mia Yim helped B-Fab tell off Chelsea Green and Piper Niven backstage, LA Knight came out to issue an open challenge for his United States Championship.

Santos Escobar answered the challenge, but he wasn't alone. Elektra Lopez, Angel and Berto were all present. Escobar gave a brief promo, but Knight ended up saying he would rather face Berto.

This led to Berto attacking Knight before the match could get underway. We returned to see Berto dominating the champion.

Even though these two are similar in size, they work very different styles. Berto is a fast-paced worker who employs high-flying offense while Knight likes to use a wide variety of maneuvers.

After a solid back and forth fight, Knight hit the BFT for the pin and the win. If it had a few more minutes, this could have been one of the best matches we saw this week, Berto and Knight had great chemistry.

As the champion was celebrating, Shinsuke Nakamura blindsided him with an attack.

    Result: Knight defeated Berto

    Grade: B

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Knight was shown turning down Zayn's offer to be in WarGames during a backstage segment.
    • It looked like Knight enjoyed the crowd booing Logan Paul's name a lot.
    • Berto's springboard kick was awesome. He nailed Knight perfectly.

Motor City Machine Guns vs. Street Profits

Sami Zayn and The Usos were shown telling Roman Reigns they were unable to find a fifth member before Solo Sikoa's Bloodline made its way to the ring. The OG Bloodline soon followed. They all immediately started brawling.

Reigns saved Zayn from a Samoan Spike before he and Jacob Fatu had a standoff that was interrupted by Bronson Reed. He helped Sikoa and his crew take out everyone in the OG Bloodline.

The second of three title matches took place next when Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins challenged Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin for the tag titles.

Ford and Shelley began the match with a fast-paced exchange that showed off the speed and agility of both men.

The Profits are one of the best tag teams in WWE, and MCMG is one of the best tag teams in the world, so it almost seemed easy for them to put on a good match.

Even though just about every move looked great, the outcome was very predictable. The Guns just made their WWE debut a few weeks ago and won the titles shortly after, so the odds of them losing the belts here were slim at best.

The thing that was unpredictable was how it ended. Tommaso Ciampa attacked the Profits to cause a disqualification. Johnny Gargano tried to play peacemaker but Ciampa shoved him to the mat and walked away.

MCMG tried to apologize to the Profits, but Dawkins decked Shelley in the face before he and Ford walked away. Even though a DQ ending is never ideal, the way this was handled set up some interesting possibilities for the future.

Result: The Profits won by DQ

    Grade: B+

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Jey told Roman that he needed to make a call to someone but didn't reveal who it was.
    • The fireworks for MCMG's entrance should be quicker and louder.
    • The way Dawkins launched Shelley over the announce table ruled.

Nia Jax vs. Naomi

4 of 5

    SmackDown.
    SmackDown.WWE

The main event this week saw Naomi challenge Jax for the WWE Women's Championship. Tiffany Stratton came out with Jax but did not go with her to the ring.

Naomi hit a dropkick right away, but it did little to prevent Jax from ramming her into the corner for some shoulder thrusts.

The first few minutes were mostly Jax beating up on Naomi, but the Queen of Glow began to make a comeback with a suicide dive as we went to a break.

Jax has had the best year of her career in 2024 and this match was one more entertaining performance to add to the list.

Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan were shown attacking Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill backstage. A moment later, Tiffy showed up and interfered to give Jax the upper hand.

Bayley arrived to take out Tiffany and Naomi almost won with a Split-Legged Moonsault. LeRae showed up and shoved Bayley into the ring post while Jax finished off Naomi with the Annialiator.

The majority of this was great, but the ending was as overbooked as a Bloodline match.

    Result: Jax defeated Naomi

    Grade: B

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • The way Belair and Cargill treat Bayley is fair due to what Bayley has done to them in the past, but the way Naomi just ignores it is weird.
    • The way Jax swung Naomi around like it was no big deal was impressive.
    • Jax's headbutt looked brutal in the best way.
    • Naomi's counter into a sunset flip was clean.

The Final Word

5 of 5

As SmackDown was ending, Reigns was shown trying to call Paul Heyman only to find out his number has been disconnected.

This week's show featured three title matches and one bout in a tournament for the women's United States Championship, so on paper, it was a big show.

In reality, it felt like a run-of-the-mill SmackDown. Most of what we saw was fine, but the two best matches had overbooked endings and one of them didn't even have a proper winner declared.

The Bloodline story continues to dominate the blue brand, but a lot of other people are getting screen time to keep the show interesting.

If you only see one thing from this show, make it the tag or women's title bout. Both matches had some fun moments and made the competitors involved look great.
