The Detroit Lions are the best team in the NFL.

At least in the eyes of the legendary Tom Brady.

The Fox broadcaster revealed his top-five NFL teams in his power rankings Thursday, and the Lions topped the list.

Here is a look at the rest of the top five:

Tom Brady's Power Rankings

  1. Detroit Lions
  2. Kansas City Chiefs
  3. Buffalo Bills
  4. Philadelphia Eagles
  5. Minnesota Vikings

Brady called the Lions the "hottest team in the NFL."

He continued, adding, "Dan Campbell's squad, they're getting it done on both sides of the ball. They've got a top-three scoring offense and a top-scoring defense."

Brady also praised Josh Allen when discussing the Buffalo Bills and Saquon Barkley when talking about the Philadelphia Eagles. He also highlighted the Kansas Chiefs' ability to "find unique ways to win nail biters each and every week."

A look at Brady's top-five teams underscores just how much talent is sitting atop the standings this season.

Fans could be in for an AFC Championship Game between Patrick Mahomes and Allen if Kansas City and Buffalo continue to win. On the other side, there could be an NFC Championship Game between a Lions team that is currently 11-1 and an Eagles squad that is right behind them at 10-2.

But Detroit has more pressing concerns to worry about, as it faces the Green Bay Packers in a critical NFC North game on Thursday.

It is an opportunity for the NFC's No. 1 seed to put more space between itself and the rest of its loaded division that also features Brady's No. 5 team, the 10-2 Minnesota Vikings.
