Chargers vs. Chiefs: Updated Odds, Money Line, Spread, Props to Watch for SNF
Erik BeastonDecember 8, 2024Chargers vs. Chiefs: Updated Odds, Money Line, Spread, Props to Watch for SNF

The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers will face off Sunday night at Arrowhead Stadium in a high-stakes battle between division rivals.
The Chiefs have already clinched their place in the NFL Playoffs while the Chargers are 8-4 and looking to do the same. Everyone from quarterback Justin Herbert to pass rusher Kalil Mack will have to play at their highest level against the defending Super Bowl champs to accomplish that goal.
Do oddsmakers believe they have enough firepower to keep up with the 11-1 squad or will the Chiefs roll to another victory and inch closer to the promised land of the NFL postseason?
Find out with this look at odds for Sunday Night Football's marquee match-up, airing live at 8:20 Sunday night on NBC and Peacock.

Prop: Ladd McConkey Over 4.5 Receptions

Since Week Seven, Chargers rookie receiver Ladd McConkey has caught less than four balls just once. Against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12, he had his greatest performance to date, hauling in nine balls for 117 yards.
Against a Chiefs defense ranked 15th in the league against opposing wideouts, the idea of McConkey tallying more than 4.5 catches seems fairly doable.
The rookie has slowly developed chemistry with quarterback Justin Herbert and as long as the Chargers' franchise player can avoid the Kansas City pass rush at Arrowhead Stadium, he should be able to find his new receiver for a handful of big plays, at the very least.
Anything less than 4.5, based on McConkey's recent play, would be a massive disappointment.
Prop: Patrick Mahomes Over 248.5 Passing Yards

Patrick Mahomes threw for 300 yards for just the second time this season in Week 13, tallying 306 against the Las Vegas Raiders with a lone touchdown.
Against a Chargers defense ranked ninth against opposing quarterbacks in fantasy, allowing just 15.03 points per game, he will find it to be more difficult to move the ball than he did against the Raiders.
Not difficult enough to take the under on the defending Super Bowls champ passing the ball for 248.5 passing yards.
Mahomes will find his receivers and accumulate yardage closer to 300. With Mahomes averaging just over 249 yards per game, it feels like a rather strong likelihood that he gets past the median number set by oddsmakers.
