In the wake of Deadline, NXT delivered the aftermath back at the WWE Performance Center for its December 10 edition.

Giulia and Oba Femi won the women's and men's Iron Survivor Challenge matches, respectively, guaranteeing future NXT Championship opportunities. How would Roxanne Perez and Trick Williams respond to their new challengers?

Wes Lee and Je'Von Evans continued their heated rivalry in a one-on-one rematch.

Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley aligned to fight Fatal Influence's Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx, looking to deliver a statement to Women's North American champion Fallon Henley.

This was sure to be an exciting show that delivered more fallout from Deadline.

Kelani Jordan Stops Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade's Attack on Giulia

1 of 8

Giulia talked confidently about her immediate future until Roxanne Perez interrupted. Cora Jade followed before revealing she had laid out Stephanie Vaquer backstage.

The Prodigy and Jade tried to attack The Beautiful Madness, but Kelani Jordan arrived to even the odds and send the heels into retreat.

While Giulia is still building her confidence on the mic, she is showing out each time she gets a chance to speak. Her charisma is infectious.

The goal over the next month will be to sell any possible way that The Prodigy can survive against Giulia in a rematch before The Beautiful Madness takes her down.

Jordan stepping up to help Giulia is interesting, given the conflicted feelings coming out of Giulia vs. Jordan a few weeks ago.

This could set the stage for a surprise heel turn by the former Women's North American champion, giving Giulia even more title rivals in 2025.

    • Lexis King requested another Heritage Cup match. Charlie Dempsey talked up No Quarter Catch Crew's performances, but OTM interrupted.

Je'Von Evans vs. Wes Lee

2 of 8

Je'Von Evans overcame multiple cheap tactics from Wes Lee and connected with The Middle of the Road to pick up another win over his opponent.

Evans and Lee have been feuding for months yet only had two matches. In both contests, The Young OG has emerged victorious.

At this point, it's hard to take Lee seriously as a threat to the rising Evans. This is a problem because Lee had so much momentum after his heel turn on The Rascalz.

Instead of thriving, he has become an afterthought. It is likely only a main roster call-up will get Lee fully back to where he should be.

The match itself was strong despite not hitting the lofty heights expected of two of NXT's most exciting performers. They could have picked up the pace more down the stretch.

    Result

    Evans def. Lee by pinfall.

    Notable Moments

    • After a series of pin attempts, Lee stacked up The Young OG with his feet on the ropes. The referee caught him cheating.
    • Lee hit the Kardiac Kick, but somehow Evans managed to kick out at two.
    • Backstage, Nathan Frazer and Axiom talked each other up, and Frazer told his partner he would "make this right."
    • Later, Axiom told Frazer that he got a match with Oba Femi next week while Frazer got them an NXT Tag Team Championships contest.

Hank Walker and Tank Ledger vs. Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe

3 of 8

Tyriek Igwe tried to keep up the aggression in this match, but Tyson Dupont was isolated after a Big Boss Man Slam from Hank Walker.

Hank and Tank Ledger finished it up with a collision on Dupont.

The future of the NXT tag team division is focused on Hank and Tank. The powerhouses have come a long way and constantly keep the energy high in their matches.

This was solid but clearly showed why Dupont and Igwe are only starting to get television time. They were slower and fairly basic on offense.

The wrinkle of Igwe leaning heel while Dupont remains face is interesting and gives them a real chance to tell their first story in NXT that could get them over.

    Result

Hank and Tank def. Dupont and Igwe by pinfall.

    C

    Notable Moments

    • Igwe again refused to shake hands with Hank and Tank.
    • In a vignette, Josh Briggs talked about his N1 Victory experience and his growing friendship with Yoshiki Inamura, who promised chaos in NXT.

    • Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson interrupted Zaria and Sol Ruca in the locker room, mocking their loss in the women's Iron Survivor Challenge.

Eddy Thorpe Interrupts Trick Williams and Oba Femi, Talks His Way Into Title Match

4 of 8

Oba Femi called out Trick Williams, who arrived with confidence. Eddy Thorpe then interrupted the NXT champion to call out The Ruler for attacking him.

Femi refused to take credit for the attack. Trick shifted the focus to the New Year's Evil NXT Championship match.

Thorpe demanded a title shot for the injustices he has faced, and Trick agreed to call it for next week before planting him with a punch.

This was a messy segment because of Thorpe's involvement, but there's still time left for Trick and Femi to get on the mic before New Year's Evil on January 7.

Beyond a few biting lines from The Ruler about Trick, this was more about emphasizing Thorpe's growing heel turn. He hit a nerve with the NXT champion and then smiled when he got his way.

While Thorpe played the victim during this segment, he later revealed he had faked his attack.

This is a great reveal to further his descent into darkness. Fans should loathe him after this, even though he is certain to lose to Trick.

    Grade

    B

    Notable Moments

    • The crowd was behind Femi until Trick arrived, and the audience was loud for the champion.
    • The Ruler said he "allowed" the Whoop That Trick era and would take the NXT Championship easily.

"The only reason that you have been the number one guy around here, is because I let you be the number one guy around here."<br><br>Things are getting INTENSE between <a href="https://twitter.com/Obaofwwe?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@Obaofwwe</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/_trickwilliams?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@_trickwilliams</a>! 😳 🔥<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WWENXT?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#WWENXT</a> <a href="https://t.co/HsMtkoohHP">pic.twitter.com/HsMtkoohHP</a>

    • Thorpe ran down Trick as lesser to him because the champion did not train in the same Japanese dojos as he did.
    • After signing his title match contract, Thorpe revealed he faked his backstage attack to get a title shot.

Fatal Influence's Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx vs. Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley

5 of 8

Fallon Henley made her presence felt, leaving Tatum Paxley isolated for the discus punch to seal the win.

Afterward, Fatal Influence attacked Paxley and Gigi Dolin until Shotzi returned to even the odds.

    WWE @WWE

    SHOTZI IS BACK!!!<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WWENXT?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#WWENXT</a> <a href="https://t.co/y7ae5iufrt">pic.twitter.com/y7ae5iufrt</a>

This was barely a match at just three minutes, but it did set up an intriguing twist: Paxley rallying Dolin and Shotzi behind her is a fun move for all involved.

This group of misfits battling the mean girls of Fatal Influence is a strong matchup on paper.

Hopefully, both Dolin and Shotzi are back to their best and ready to rewrite their legacies in WWE.

    Result

Fatal Influence def. Dolin and Paxley by pinfall.

    Grade

    C+

    Notable Moments

    • Preparing for the match backstage, Jayne and Henley argued over why Dolin had stepped up to Fatal Influence: obsession or the championship.
    • Izzy Dame warned Dolin on her way to the ring that she was not done with her. Shawn Spears tried to recruit Dame, but she wasn't interested.

North American Championship: Tony D'Angelo (c) vs. 'All Ego' Ethan Page

6 of 8

"All Ego" Ethan Page did not look himself throughout this match and fell to a spinebuster from Tony D'Angelo.

This wasn't a contest these two could have at their best, but Page especially sold the story of his broken confidence well enough to make up for shortcomings in the action.

The Don got a nice win against a decorated opponent to further solidify his run as North American champion.

It is a bit far-fetched to feel sorry for All Ego after how much success he has had in a short time in NXT, but Page is a good enough actor to make it make sense.

Whatever All Ego does next, it should be interesting as he is clearly invested in making every week count.

    Result

D'Angelo def. Page by pinfall to retain the North American Championship.

    Grade

    B

    Notable Moments

    • Backstage, Page was sulking until D'Angelo offered him a North American Championship match.
    • The whole family came out to encourage The Don through this match.
    • Page could not even manage a signature smile for his entrance. After the loss, he looked crestfallen.
    • On his way out, Page questioned if he was truly All Ego, calling himself "lost and ashamed."

Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade vs. Giulia and Kelani Jordan

7 of 8

After a wild chaotic match, Roxanne Perez planted Kelani Jordan with a Pop Rox outside.

Giulia and The Prodigy brawled to the back, while Jade planted Jordan with a Jaded to win.

Afterward, Stephanie Vaquer attacked Jade and snapped her kendo stick before running her into the crowd.

    WWE @WWE

    What goes around, comes around! 🙌<a href="https://twitter.com/Steph_Vaquer?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@Steph_Vaquer</a> just got some payback on <a href="https://twitter.com/CoraJadeWWE?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@CoraJadeWWE</a>!! 😤<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WWENXT?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#WWENXT</a> <a href="https://t.co/aHjhUroXpX">pic.twitter.com/aHjhUroXpX</a>

This was a solid main event that hinted at much greater to come when Perez and Giulia lock horns again. The sample of that contest was the best part of this match.

Jordan and Jade played their roles well, and a win for the latter in the main event was much-needed to build her credibility for a contest against Vaquer.

For the moment, the battle lines are being drawn simply, but there is still a chance Jordan could be turning bad down the stretch.

This was a frustrating end to her night when she was abandoned by her own partner.

    Result

Jade and Perez def. Jordan and Giulia by pinfall.

    Grade

    B+

    Notable Moments

    • Giulia was incensed coming out of the trainer's room where Vaquer was still recovering. Jordan translated her anger into focusing on winning the main event.
    • Perez and Jade attacked Giulia during her entrance, forcing Jordan to run out early to make the save.
    • Jordan finally got the hot tag to Giulia after dumping Jade over the top rope, and Perez showed fear facing The Beautiful Madness.
    • Giulia planted Perez to set up a shooting star press on The Prodigy for a near-fall that Jade had to break up.

Overall Show

8 of 8

Deadline created two exciting new title challengers, and this week's NXT took advantage. Tuesday's show was built on Giulia's rising star as well as teasing the threat Oba Femi poses to Trick Williams.

Eddy Thorpe played his role well and could find himself becoming a permanent fixture on the show if his match with Trick next week is an exciting one.

Fatal Influence faced a united front of fan favorites. "All Ego" Ethan Page lost his smile. Je'Von Evans continued to build his legacy as a future megastar.

The action on the night was solid rather than outstanding, but many of the competitors were competing after travel and long premium live event matches.

This was never going to be a night that rivaled Deadline in terms of in-ring spectacle, but it did its job well in furthering the key angles across NXT.
