Week 17 DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Picks, Lineup Tips for Sunday
Joe TanseyDecember 29, 2024Week 17 DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Picks, Lineup Tips for Sunday

Week 17 presents the biggest challenge to DraftKings daily fantasy football players that they have faced all season.
The Sunday slate is the smallest of the season due to the games on Christmas Day and Saturday. A lot of those contests featured the top teams in the NFL as well.
The nine-game Sunday schedule leaves a lot to be desired on the surface, with only two marquee games that affect the NFC playoff race.
However, there are some value spots worth taking advantage of due to the specific matchups in play.
That might mean you are paying closer attention to games involving teams with losing records than you typically would on a normal Sunday.
Lead with Jonathan Taylor, Bucky Irving at Running Back

Let's get the easy part of lineup-building out of the way first.
Jonathan Taylor and Bucky Irving should be two of the most rostered players across all DFS contests.
Taylor, who is fresh off a 200-yard, three-score performance, faces the New York Giants' second-worst rushing defense.
Irving gets another chance to tear apart the Carolina Panthers' league-worst rushing defense.
Carolina and New York are two of three NFL teams to allow over 2,100 rushing yards this season.
Taylor and Irving are must-start players because of their matchups and their teams' current playoff situations.
Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts need to win to stay alive in the AFC wild-card hunt, while Irving and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers must win to put pressure on the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South race.
Taylor's salary of $7,900 is very palatable for his matchup, and Irving has incredible value at $6,700 given his matchup.
Trust Green Bay's Passing Attack

The Green Bay Packers' passing attack can be difficult to figure out on a week-by-week basis.
Jordan Love has a plethora of targets he can throw to, which makes DFS lineup selection a little tougher than it is for other top teams.
The 26-year-old should be one of the top DFS targets on Sunday because he threw for 389 yards in his first meeting with the Minnesota Vikings.
At a $6,200 salary, Love carries incredible value on a Sunday slate without Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson due to scheduling and missing Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa due to injury.
Jayden Reed led the Packers with seven receptions and 139 receiving yards the first time around against the Vikings. Dontayvion Wicks had 78 yards and two touchdowns in that game as well.
Wicks has the best value of the Packers wideouts at $3,900. He only had 17 yards in Week 16, but he garnered seven targets from Love.
Tucker Kraft should be included at tight end in a ton of lineups as well. He's gone over 40 receiving yards in three of the last four games and has been targeted on 18 occasions in that stretch.
Find Value at Tight End

Tight end is the hardest position to figure out on Week 17's Sunday slate.
Brock Bowers and Jonnu Smith carry the highest salaries at DraftKings, while David Njoku and Cade Otton have both been ruled out.
Tight end should be the spot where you take the most risk to create some difference between your lineups and the rest in your specific contests.
Foster Moreau is worth a value look because the Las Vegas Raiders give up the sixth-most yards to TEs.
The 27-year-old has been a regular target of Spencer Rattler. He has seven targets in the last two games and at least 30 receiving yards in the last three contests. He checks in at a cheap $3,000 salary.
Tennessee's Chigoziem Okonkwo is worth a look as well. He's had 17 catches on 21 targets in the last two weeks.
The 2022 fourth-rounder, who carries a $3,600 salary, has an ideal matchup on paper against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It's not the ideal setup for tight ends, but if you pick the right player in the right matchup, you could get incredible bang for your buck and use more salary at other positions.
