Candace Parker, Renee Montgomery and Lauren Jbara Revealed as Unrivaled Commentators

Two-time WNBA MVP Candace Parker, 2011 All-Star Renee Montgomery and Lauren Jbara will form the studio team for Unrivaled's inaugural season.

Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie will work select broadcasts in the studio as well.

Unrivaled also announced Brendan Glasheen as the league's play-by-play announcers with Leslie and Sarah Kustok working in the analyst role. Taylor Rooks, Allie LaForce and Stephanie Ready, and Ros Gold-Onwude will report from the sidelines.

"The additions of Candace, Renee, Lauren, and Leslie will jumpstart our exciting coverage with some of the best and biggest talent in the sport" said Craig Barry, TNT Sports' executive vice president and chief content officer. "Their transcendent knowledge of the game and scope of experience are going to bring this new league to life in important and unexpected ways."

Unrivaled commissioner Micky Lawler added that the league is "thrilled to tip off our inaugural season with such legendary talent across all levels of the women's basketball space."

"Their voices will bring much-needed analysis and perspective to the revolutionary version of basketball Unrivaled and TNT are bringing to fans this year," she said.

Parker is one of the greatest players in WNBA history. A champion with the Los Angeles Sparks, Chicago Sky and Las Vegas Aces, she ranks ninth all time in points (6,574), third in rebounds (3,467) and seventh in assists (1,634).

Parker carried the torch on from Leslie in Los Angeles. They were teammates for two seasons on on the Sparks before Leslie retired in 2009.

The 6'5" center was a three-time league MVP and two-time Finals MVP along with earning eight all-star nods and 12 All-WNBA honors.

Montgomery enjoyed a productive career herself, wnning the Sixth Player of the Year in 2012 and capturing a pair of titles with the Minnesota Lynx during their dynastic run across the 2010s. In 2021, she was part of the group that purchased the Atlanta Dream from Kelly Loeffler and currently serves as the franchise's vice president.

Unrivaled, which offers a unique three-on-three format, will get its first season underway Jan. 17 with a pair of games. Mist Basketball Club take on the Lunar Owls in the league's opening game at 7 p.m. ET on TNT, with Rose Basketball Club vs. Vinyl Basketball Club to follow at 8:15 p.m. ET.

In addition to the regular season, which runs through March 10, Unrivaled will stage a one-on-one tournament from Feb. 10-14.

TNT Sports will broadcast the entire campaign, with games spread across TNT and truTV.
