The New England Patriots were on track to secure the No. 1 pick of the 2025 draft until a Week 18 win over a Buffalo Bills squad resting starters shuffled the draft order.

The Tennessee Titans jumped in to land the top pick thanks to a season-finale loss to the Texans and tiebreakers over the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants. The Patriots meanwhile dropped to the fourth pick.

The Jaguars will select fifth, while the Las Vegas Raiders fell out of top-five contention thanks to a late-season surge and will draft at No. 6.

The Chargers became the first playoff team to exit the Wild Card round after the Texans defense picked off Justin Herbert four times in a blowout Saturday win.

The Steelers, who were eliminated later on Saturday by the Baltimore Ravens, will select before the Chargers thanks to their seven regular-season losses.

The rest of the draft order will continue to come into view as Wild Card play continues.

If two teams with identical records— say, the Broncos and Buccaneers— both exit in the same round, their spot in the draft order will be determined by strength of schedule.

If strength of schedule is also a match, the NFL will turn to divisional and conference tiebreakers, followed by head-to-head record, record in common games and strength of victory comparisons, in order to determine the draft order.
