Australian Open 2025: Complete Bracket Predictions for Men's and Women's Draw
Nicholas NathansonJanuary 11, 2025Australian Open 2025: Complete Bracket Predictions for Men's and Women's Draw

The 2025 Australian Open is finally here.
And no one is looking forward to it more than Novak Djokovic.
Despite going slamless in 2023 for the first time since 2017, the Serbian is still very much in pursuit of a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam title.
And there's no better place to do it than Melbourne Park, where he's already won 10 titles.
However, reigning Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner and four-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz loom large and enter with shorter odds of hoisting the year's first Grand Slam title.
In the women's draw, there is one name to know: Aryna Sabalenka.
The top-ranked player in the women's draw is aiming to become the first woman since Martin Hingis in 1999 to win three consecutive Australian Open titles.
Sabalenka starts as the favorite, but don't rule out Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff.
With the tournament set to begin later today, here's everything you need to know, including predictions for the men's and women's draws.

Men's Predictions

Despite his historical success at the Australian Open, Novak Djokovic does not enter as the favorite.
The Serbian enters the Australian Open weeks removed from a stunning straight-set loss to then-ranked World No. 293, Reilly Opelka.
Despite the improbable loss, there is little reason for concern for Djokovic, who has won 10 titles at Melbourne Park.
Djokovic should be able to reach the quarterfinal round, where a tough matchup with Carlos Alcaraz likely awaits.
In the top half of the draw, everyone is going after Jannik Sinner.
The top seed won both hard-court Grand Slams in 2024, but a potential matchup against the heavy-serving Hubert Hurkacz or Holger Rune in the fourth round will not be easy.
Elsewhere, he might need to overcome last year's runner-up Daniil Medvedev once more.
Given his continued hard-court dominance, Sinner should be able to reach the final, where a matchup with Carlos Alcaraz, who is attempting to become the youngest player to capture the career Grand Slam, likely awaits.
Prediction: Sinner over Alcaraz in the final
Women's Predictions

Aryna Sabalenka has been exceptional since the start of 2023.
The World No. 1 has won three of the last four hard-court Grand Slam tournaments—her sole loss coming in the 2023 US Open.
The three-time Grand Slam champion opens up as the favorite, though her path is not easy.
In order to reach the final, she'll have to overcome tough opponents such as 17-year-old wunderkind Mirra Andreeva, last year's runner-up Zheng Qinwen, and Coco Gauff.
Meanwhile, in the bottom half of the draw, Iga Swiatek starts as the favorite.
The five-time Grand Slam champion has failed to advance beyond the fourth round in her last two attempts at Melbourne Park.
Swiatek could face challenges as early as the third round with an opponent such as Amanda Anisimova or Emma Raducanu.
However, the Pole may face the real challenge in the quarterfinal round, where a matchup with No. 8 Emma Navarro likely awaits.
Navarro has struggled in recent months since reaching the 2024 U.S. Open semifinal round, though she is more than capable of making a deep run.
Prediction: Sabalenka over Navarro in the final
