Patrick Mahomes' magic took centerstage again Saturday after he threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Travis Kelce while being tackled en route to leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a 23-14 win over the Houston Texans in an AFC Divisional Round matchup.

After the game, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was asked about the play, and he provided this response.

"I always tell our coaches, 'Don't get used to that,'" Reid began in his postgame press conference.

"This is unreal. I'd tell the fans the same thing: We're very lucky to have him here. The stuff he's doing just doesn't happen. That's why he is the greatest at doing what he's done in a relatively young career."

Mahomes has been the Chiefs' starting quarterback for seven years. Kansas City has made the AFC Championship Game in all seven of those contests. In his first six, the Chiefs have earned three Super Bowl wins and four AFC titles. Mahomes also has two NFL MVP awards and three Super Bowl MVP's on his resume.

He's been sensational along the way but especially in the playoffs, which has featured Mahomes going 16-3 with 5,312 passing yards, 47 total touchdowns (42 passing, five rushing) and just eight interceptions.

He has a penchant for turning a potentially disastrous situation into a great one time and again in Kansas City, as he did Saturday on the Kelce touchdown.

Now Mahomes is two steps away from leading Kansas City to the first-ever Super Bowl three-peat in NFL history. First, the Chiefs will host the winner of the Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills playoff matchup in the AFC title game next Sunday.
