The rivalry between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys took a surprising turn recently when Kayvon Thibodeaux decided to engage with Dez Bryant on social media.

Bryant called out Thibodeaux for his 77 rating in Madden NFL 25 on X after the Giants edge rusher joked he was subbing Bryant out of games when he used to play the video game.

Bruh your Madden NFL rating 77 at 24yrs of age 😂 …You're supposed to be in your prime. As much as I play Madden..I never considered playing with the Giants. This is how it's going to go for you. You're not getting a contract extension if you don't ball out... They let Saquon… https://t.co/jbVJYFT47M pic.twitter.com/KC3rnm55xq

The original comment leading up to the situation is certainly strange. Bryant responded to a post featuring a comment from the brother of Dean Blandino, former NFL senior vice president of officiating.

As for the main issue between Bryant and Thibodeaux, it's a rough look for the Giants defender to get called out for his pedestrian rating which is the same as kicker Graham Gano.

Unfortunately, Bryant's career ended after the 2020 season and he hasn't played in the NFC East since 2017, so we won't get to see what would've happened if he were still on the Cowboys when they play the Giants next season.
