The NFL offered a glimpse at the scene inside Caesars Superdome in New Orleans hours before the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles kick off Super Bowl LIX.

The league's official X account shared a panoramic view of the field and the regalia around the stadium:

This is the eighth time the Superdome has staged the Super Bowl, the most of any one venue. New Orleans is also tied with Miami/Miami Gardens as the most frequented host city. Prior to the construction of the Super Bowl, the NFL had the Super Bowl at Tulane Stadium for the 1969, 1971 and 1974 seasons.

The Chiefs were victorious at the first installment in the Big Easy, beating the Minnesota Vikings 23-7 in Super Bowl IV. The Eagles, on the other hand, will be looking to exorcise some demons since their lone trip to New Orleans for the game was a 27-10 loss to the Oakland Raiders in Super Bowl XV.

There's the revenge factor as well with Kansas City taking down Philadelphia to stand tall in Super Bowl LVII. Harrison Butker hit a 27-yard field goal with eight seconds on the clock to put the Chiefs on top 38-35.

Andy Reid's squad is four quarters away from history. No team has won three straight Super Bowls, and the last team to achieve a three-peat in any of the four major American sports was the Los Angeles Lakers in 2002.
