2018 Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony: Live Updates and Highlights
The 2018 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class was enshrined in Springfield, Massachusetts, on Friday. The NBA headliners included Ray Allen, Grant Hill, Jason Kidd and Steve Nash. The others who went in were Maurice Cheeks, Charles "Lefty" Driesell, Tina Thompson, Dino Radja, Charlie Scott, Ora Mae Washington, Rod Thorn, Rick Welts and Katie Smith. Allen, Hill, Kidd and Nash rank 23rd, 47th, 10th and 96th, respectively, in NBA history in career VORP (value over replacement player). Allen is first in career threes made. Larry Bird, LeBron James and Russell Westbrook are the only players who match Hill's career per-possession averages for points, rebounds and assists. Kidd is in the top 10 for steals (second), assists (second), minutes (fifth) and threes (ninth).
